Exley House / A Harry Seidler Renovation

Architect: Atelier Haefeli
Year: 2022
Photos: Jacqui Turk

This project involved the careful renovation of an original Harry Seidler–designed home in Warrawee, Sydney. As a heritage-listed residence, any new interventions were required to sit quietly alongside the original architecture, remaining sympathetic to Seidler’s modernist vision. Subtle references to his signature colour palette are retained throughout, while a bespoke ten-metre skylight introduces natural light and new life into the heart of the 1950s home.

The project was filmed for Grand Designs Australia. You can read more about the project here.
